Hello friends, welcome to another issue of Desire Path — a newsletter for photographers and photography aficionados interested in NFTs and web3.
Two Crossed Paths
Today’s crossed paths is a diptych from Wesley Verhoeve’s “30 Days of Walking In Amsterdam” included in Obscura’s “The World Today” NFT photo collection. Wesley only carried a 1964 Olympus Pen-F half-frame camera on his daily walks. All of the images are paired in-camera, resulting in serendipitous storytelling.
Three Photo Projects
“Liminal Liability” by Jordan Nicolette explores the space and time we spend in-between moments in our lives.
“In Passing” by Ian Howorth similarly represents those in-between moments — a rest stop, a chance encounter — while en route to somewhere else.
“Spring/Summer” by Jimmy Limit is a project inspired by the aesthetics of online catalog photography, exploring the relationship between desire and digital consumption.
Four Art Projects
“Infinite Gardens” by CarrotwithaK, a 3D artist creating dreamy and modern environment pieces.
“L’ultimo romantico” by Miguel Cruz is a collection of lovely illustrations based on popular romantic songs from the '60s and '70s.
“Winter Women” by Lilyillo — hand-drawn digital portraits celebrating the warmth of womanhood.
Sylvie Vo is painting and practicing in public every day. Check out her expanding collection “Daily Practice 2022”.
