Desire Path #4
Hello friends, welcome to another issue of Desire Path — a newsletter for photographers and photography aficionados interested in NFTs and web3.
Two Crossed Paths
Grayson Lauffenburger and Stefan Krynauw collaborate with strangers in “A Day at The Beach” in an almost sociological experiment questioning the awkwardness of human interaction. The strangers in “The Dead Sea” by Cait Oppermann are seen floating or gathering at the showers while being temporarily blinded by the saltiness of the water.
Three Photo Projects
Lumberland by Noah Kalina is an ongoing photographic documentation of a black walnut tree as seen throughout the seasons in Lumberland, NY.
TOGETHER/APART by Natalie Christensen and Jim Eyre — photomontages combining architectural fragments and elements of the landscape to illustrate how a global pandemic changed our lives.
Bloom II by Mia Forrest is a collection of 14 Australian Native Flowers
portrayed using slit scan and time remapping.
Four Art Projects
Masks of Man by Maxwell Holyoke-Hirsch is a collection of 5984 uniquely generated masks — for ceremony, protection, performance, play, and deceit.
INFINITY MATRIX by Georgina Hooper — hand-drawn abstractions of nature, space, time and the cosmic realm referred to in Chinese Daoist philosophy as the Dao.
The True Colours by Florentino Popo. A collection of 100 pfps on fashion as a way of communication and an extension of our personality.
